Today as you continue your journey as a T.G.I., keep in mind you will become the teacher at the end of the day to help others in the class uncover the mysteries of the branch of government you chose to research.
Activity 5: You will select a branch of government to research. You will choose between the branches listed below: executive, legislative and judicial. You will use Kidspiration or Inspiration to create a concept map to show the important jobs of the branch you selected.

Activity 6: Each one, Teach one: You will be put in groups according to the branch of government you selected. Your group will teach the rest of the students about the branch of government you selected, explain the jobs this branch of government does, and why you feel it is important.
Activity 7: Complete the sheet Our National Government found at the website http://www.timeforkids.com/TFK/class/reproducibles/theme/0,17836,Government,00.html. You will read about the U.S. Government and the three branches of our government. You should use the information you have learned and the information you read on this sheet to help you answer the questions. You will be expected to do the Table Talk section at the bottom of this page for homework. Make sure you discuss with your family about how the three branches of government work together. Bring this sheet back to school tomorrow. We will discuss each students' answers during our morning meeting.
